F1 on Apple TV in the US: Price, What Is Included and Free Sessions

Fans in the grandstand at the 2011 Hungarian Grand Prix

Formula 1 moved to Apple TV in the United States for 2026. Here is how it works for fans watching at home.

What Apple TV offers

Subscribers get live coverage of every practice session, qualifying session, sprint race and grand prix, according to Motorsport.com. The service also carries past races, extra programming and highlights from some 2025 races.

What it costs

At launch the price was $12.99 per month or $99 per year. Prices can change, so check Apple TV before you subscribe.

What you can watch without paying

Non subscribers can watch all practice sessions and select races. The report does not say which races are free, so look at the F1 channel before each weekend.

Where to find the F1 channel

The F1 channel appears in the Apple TV sidebar. You can also reach it from a website header link or the search tab on iPhone.

Next on the calendar

The next race is the United States Grand Prix in Austin. See our Austin weekend schedule in Central Time and the full 2026 schedule with US start times to plan your viewing.

Your Viewing Plan for the US Grand Prix

Which Sessions Should You Watch Live?

  • If you only have time for one session: watch the race on Sunday. It is the only session that awards championship points in Austin.
  • If you want the full story: add qualifying on Saturday, which sets the grid and often shapes strategy.
  • If you want to follow the title fight closely: watch Friday practice too. It is free for non subscribers, and long runs show which teams are quick on race pace.
