F1 Races in the US 2026: Miami, Austin and Las Vegas

The 2026 Formula 1 calendar has three US Grands Prix: Miami, Austin and Las Vegas. Miami was run in May. Austin is on October 25 and Las Vegas on November 21. Each has a different track, a different time of day and a different kind of weekend. This guide compares them so you can see how the races differ.

2026 F1 races in the US at a glance
| Race | Round | Race day | Format |

| United States Grand Prix, Austin | 18 | October 25 | Standard |
| Las Vegas Grand Prix | 21 | November 21 | Standard |
The season has 23 races, after a round in Malaysia was added to replace the postponed Bahrain Grand Prix. Three of them are in the United States, and there are two American-registered teams on the grid, Haas and Cadillac.
Miami Grand Prix
Miami runs around the Hard Rock Stadium complex in Miami Gardens, Florida. The lap is about 3.4 miles (5.4 kilometers) and the race is 57 laps. It was a sprint weekend in 2026, so it had two races in one weekend. The format is covered in our sprint explainer.
United States Grand Prix, Austin
The Circuit of the Americas outside Austin, Texas, is the longest-running US F1 venue of the three. The lap is about 3.4 miles (5.5 kilometers) and the race is 56 laps. It is known for a steep climb into the first corner and a run of fast, flowing turns copied from other famous tracks. In 2026 it is a standard weekend, with the race on Sunday, October 25, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern (3:00 p.m. local). Our Austin schedule has every session time.

Las Vegas Grand Prix
Las Vegas is a night race on a street circuit that includes the Strip. The lap is about 3.9 miles (6.2 kilometers), the longest of the three, and the race is 50 laps. It runs on Saturday night, so in the US it starts late in the evening Eastern time, around 8 p.m. on the West Coast. Our Las Vegas guide has the full schedule.

Race start times across US time zones
Austin and Las Vegas fall in very different parts of the day for viewers.

How the three tracks compare
Las Vegas has the longest lap and the fewest laps. Miami and Austin are close in length. The three races still cover almost the same distance, because Grand Prix distance is set by a minimum of about 190 miles (305 kilometers) rather than by a number of laps.

How the three races differ
Miami and Las Vegas are street or street-style tracks built for television, with a long list of events around them. Austin is a permanent road course with a long history and large elevation changes. Las Vegas has the longest straights, so top speeds and slipstreaming play a larger role. Austin tests every part of the car.
What is at stake

The American teams
Haas has raced in F1 for several years. Cadillac joined in 2026 as the 11th team. See our Cadillac F1 team guide for the new team, and our 2027 driver lineup for the open seat at Haas.
